Lives: Christchurch, NZ
Born in Oamaru, I became involved in Athletics while at school. I've managed to fit study in with athletics training, graduating with a BA Hons in German and Political Science from Canterbury University. Currently studying for a Masters in Transport Engineering at Canterbury University while working in an Engineering Consultancy Firm in Christchurch.
Approach to training and nutrition: Without good nutrition you can’t train properly. It’s like not putting the right petrol in your car; the engine doesn’t work properly. I eat a balanced diet that allows me to train to my optimum level and recover for the next session.

Biggest achievement so far: Qualifying for and competing at the Melbourne Commonwealth Games has been my biggest achievement so far. I set four personal bests in different heptathlon disciplines as well as a personal best score overall and finished seventh. I won the javelin competition in the heptathlon. It was an incredible experience competing at the MCG in front of 80,000 people!
Rebecca is currently training for the 2007/2008 summer athletics season. She aims to meet the qualifying standard of 6000 points for the Beijing Olympics before the end of March 2008 and be named in the New Zealand team for the Olympics.

Fav Product:
Sculpt Protein Powder
Reason:
Sculpt Apricot Chocolate Crunch Bar - delicious snack and fantastic balance of carbohydrate and protein for sustained energy during training and great recovery after training. I think I'm addicted to them!
Ripped Factors - Fantastic product to use as a post-training snack. It is especially good when you want to be as lean as possible going into important competitions.
Replace Hydration - Great tasting and the best on the market in terms of ‘energy’ drinks as it has a low sugar content and it is really effective, especially in really hot conditions.
